Cryonik - Soulcure[d]

Cryonik's debut release, a three-song EP entitled Soulcure[d], is a musical panacea for all frozen souls.

In the title track, "Soulcure[d]," Larsson uses a frosty palette of synth, bass, and percussion to meticulously combine an arrangement of up-tempo back beats and swift-moving melodies. The cunning cut lifts from an icy -10°C to a life-sustaining 37°C as the thawing occurs. Larsson's message is for those with dark souls, or as his lyrics suggest, those with "...a diary of damaged minds."

Larsson's lyrical prowess collides with the talents of French DJ and producer Leinender in the second track. The result is a remix of "Soulcure[d]" with an eclectic blend of industrial and trance. With a haunting sound, it is laden with moody messages wrapped into intensely addictive hook. "Let's Go Zero" is the third cut on EP and features a blazing rock-based electronic blend with wicked digital synth patterns. The song moves with anger and pique in a theme of anguish and starting over. "Let's Go Zero" reveals Larsson's innate aptitude for creating lucid soundscapes carved and sculpted from raw emotion.

Soulcure[d] provides a rare and unique blend of electronic music that borders on metal, yet blends in gothic and trance. Cryonik's sound that relies on a plethora of influences and the debut EP is sure to find a wide audience. Frozenforce has discovered a new cryogenic cure in Daniel Larsson and Cryonik's EP debut release, Soulcure[d].
